Look into the chaotic and frankly alarming mind of a 19 year old writer.
Just don't look too closely.

I am a 17 year old student at Sixth Form. For those who don't know what this is, just imagine going to school for an extra two years after you leave. Like college, but not. Simple!
I live in Derby, UK.
I want to be a writer, so tell me what you think by E-mailing me.

Don't Look Too Closely

Friday, April 04, 2003
Today is one of only two days of the week in which I have to be in school right at the first lesson. True, I suppose that doesn’t leave me much to complain about but I am so tired it’s ridiculous! I’ve always been useless at going to bed even slightly late. I must have been in bed properly by 23:00 last night, but it was still really hard getting up at 07:30 this morning. I have to leave the house by 08:10 to be in school, so I only just got in on time. If you have to get up at two in the morning or something then I apologize for my endless self-pity. But then you wouldn’t like me happy…

To be honest, Friday isn’t exactly a tough day in the life of Simark. I have double Computing in the morning, with one of the better teachers at school, following which I have a free period – which is what I am in now. At 12:05 I go to the music room where I pretend to be musically talented along with my friends. Actually, that isn’t fair. My friends are very good musically. I'm not. Oh well.

After the music session, I go home. It’s a hard life! Mind you, in only 7 weeks it will be over. Not my life (I hope) but certainly this period of it, because school will be over. What then? I'm not sure, but it may well include plastic chickens.

As I sit here in the Computer Room, there are quite a few students around me talking like only students can. I can't here exactly what is being said, but across from me I can hear a discussion about “free range cows.” Obviously I will update you just as soon as I have more. Obviously.

I heard another fascinating fact yesterday. Apparently, until the war began the most common word typed into the Freeserve search engine was… ‘sex’. This shocks me for two very clear reasons. For one thing, are people really so unimaginative that all they can thing is ‘sex’? I wont try it out, because chances are I’d be kicked out of school, but I think there must be enormous quantities of pages with that word in it. The other, and indeed the main, reason why I am shocked is far more obvious. Why isn't the most popular word ‘Simark’?

In a related subject, I just entered my “name” into the Vivisimo engine, and it turns out that ‘Simark’ is already being used around the world! Typical! I have a good idea, and within 48 hours it’s spread around the world. I should have learned from my “Microsoft Cuddly Toys” experience!

Anyhow, it is almost time to leave the computer so I’ll end it here. For now. If you’ve enjoyed, e-mail me and tell your friends. Let’s bring down Blogger with mass usage!!!

SIMARK

PS I’m only joking about bringing down Blogger. Nice Blogger! Nice Blogger!
